Open Profiles
Open profiles are cold formed from hot rolled steel strips with strict control during the rolling process to ensure consistent dimensions, smooth surface finish, and clean, precise edges. These profiles are widely used in modern construction projects, ranging from safety features on roads and highways to roofing for low cost housing in Kenya.
Guard Rails
Guard Rails are provided as a safety feature on roads and highways. In the unfortunate event of vehicles losing control, the guard rails work towards limiting the damage. They are made to the British Standard BS:6579 Part 1 :1988. Hot Rolled Coils are slit in the desired width and are fed into the open profile mill.
Zed Purlins
Zed Purlins are used as lightweight, strong structural supports in large steel-framed buildings, particularly for roofing and wall cladding in warehouses, factories, industrial sheds etc. They are made to Kenya Bureau of Standards specification KS02-104. Their main advantage is that they give high strength and a saving on the amount of structural steel used.
